Glossary of Technical Terms
B Corp (Benefit Corporation): A certification granted to for-profit companies that meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.  

Biophilic Design: An approach to design that seeks to connect building occupants with nature, using natural elements, light, vegetation, and organic forms to improve well-being.

Brand Architecture: The organizational structure of a company's portfolio of brands, sub-brands, and products, defining their relationships and hierarchy to ensure clarity and synergy.

ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance): A set of criteria used to evaluate a company's performance in sustainability and ethical impact, covering its environmental, social, and corporate governance practices.

Phygital: The integration of physical and digital experiences, creating a unified and seamless customer journey between the online and offline worlds.  

Qubit (Quantum Bit): The basic unit of information in quantum computing. Thanks to superposition, a qubit can represent a 0, a 1, or both states simultaneously, allowing for exponentially greater processing power for certain tasks.

Quantum AI: An interdisciplinary field that combines artificial intelligence with quantum computing to solve complex problems beyond the capabilities of classical AI, such as systems optimization and large-scale data analysis.

Quantum Computing: An advanced computing paradigm that uses the principles of quantum mechanics to process information. Unlike classical computers that use bits (0 or 1), quantum computers use qubits, which can exist in multiple states simultaneously (superposition).

Quantum Entanglement: A quantum mechanical phenomenon in which two or more qubits become intrinsically linked, such that the state of one instantly affects the other, regardless of the distance separating them.

Superposition: A fundamental principle of quantum mechanics that allows a qubit to exist in multiple combinations of states (0 and 1) at the same time, unlike a classical bit which can only be in one state at a time.

User Experience (UX) Design: The process of designing products (digital or physical) that are useful, easy to use, and enjoyable to interact with, focusing on the entire user journey.  

User Interface (UI) Design: The design of the visual and interactive touchpoints of a digital product, such as buttons, icons, and layout, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing and intuitive experience.
